Job description

Position: Teaching Assistant (Key Stage 2)
Location: Burnley
Salary: Dependent on Experience
Contract Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Start Date: January 2025.

Are you passionate about supporting young learners and making a positive impact on their education? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team and work across Key Stage 2 (KS2).

About the Role:

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Work one-to-one or with small groups of students to enhance their learning experience.
  • Assist in planning and preparing resources for lessons and activities.
  • Provide pastoral care and support to ensure the well-being of pupils.
  • Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs, where required.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Have experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within KS2.
  • Be a proactive and reliable team player with a passion for education.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hold relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent), though not essential for candidates with significant experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
