RCT ‘SUPER-SCHOOL’ IS LOOKING FOR A WELSH TEACHER TO JOIN THEIR FACULTY IN FEBRUARY WHEN SCHOOLS RETURN. FULL TIME, ONGOING & HIGHLY SUPPORTIVE SLT
A thriving comprehensive school in RCT is looking for a new Welsh teacher to join their faculty immediately after Feb half term. The role is full time and will include full teaching duties and responsibilities. This post has become available due to internal progression and as a result, the successful candidate will be able to facilitate a smooth transition for the pupils and department.
The school is situated in RCT in the CF39 area. Having once been a school placed in special measures, a new headship has worked alongside a highly driven senior leadership team to elevate the school out of this. Their 2019 ESTYN report has awarded the school a ‘GOOD’ rating based on the strides made towards behavioural ethos, attitudes towards learning and pupil attainment.
Because of this incredible progress, the head is looking to appoint a teacher who can maintain and build upon this success. Although the school is based on a traditional site, it has recently undergone renovations to improve its sixth form areas, vocational training centres and sports facilities. The school plays a huge part in giving back to the local community and encourages pupils to gain work experience in their onsite restaurant and SEN units.
For the remainder of the academic year, with option to go onto permanent school contract in the Summer term
