Location: Caerphilly
Hours: 8:30 – 15:30 (Term Time Only)
Full time: Monday - Friday with immediate start until the end of the academic year

Teaching Personnel are seeking educators who are passionate about education to work with children in a lovely vibrant Welsh Secondary School based in Blackwood as a Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 11-18.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who require additional support in their educational journey!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored support to students with various special educational needs through the medium of Welsh.
- Provide one-on-one support to students during lessons and activities.
- Learning approaches include sensory activities, practical lessons, and structured individual development plans.
- Help maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Support the development of students' social skills and confidence.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Fluent in the Welsh Language
- No formal qualifications required; however, experience in a similar role, sports coaching, youth work, health and social work or working with children is preferred.
- A compassionate, patient, and resilient attitude.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- A genuine interest in supporting children with special educational needs.
Successful applicants will have:
- A passion for education and dedication and willingness to support pupils with a range of needs
- Transferable social and communication skills from previous employment or hobbies
- Commitment to completing all required training courses promptly
- An enhanced DBS check on the update service (guidance will be given)
- Registered with the EWC (guidance will be given)
- Provide 2 references
- Able to travel to the Blackwood area

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
