Welsh Speaking Primary Teaching Assistant
Salary: £83.85 a day
Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm
Full time ongoing (into next academic year)

Teaching Personnel are seeking a teaching assistant for one of our partner Welsh medium primary schools in the north of Cardiff. The school we are recruiting for is high-achieving, warm and friendly. The headteacher is looking for an individual with similar traits to the school to join their team for the full year. This opportunity is ideal for an individual who is looking to begin their teaching career or a teaching assistant looking for more experience. A strong passion for the Welsh language will be particularly beneficial for this role.
The role:
- A combination of both general support and 1-1 for children with additional needs
- Assist the teacher with general tasks
- Manage children’s behaviour within the class
- Lead small group activities (literacy and numeracy)
- Support children with additional needs on a 1-1 basis
- Encourage a positive learning environment
What will you need?
- You do not need a teaching qualification
- DBS on the update service
- To be registered with Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- Ability to speak fluent Welsh
- The passion to develop a career in education as a Teaching Assistant
