Qualified Teachers Wanted – Vocational Subject Specialist
Join a unique specialist setting in Southampton – September 2025 start (or sooner)

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a brand-new specialist school in Southampton catering to pupils aged 11–19 with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), primarily for Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and high-functioning Autism.

The school is now seeking a qualified teacher who can deliver vocational subjects through which pupils can work towards formal qualifications. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and lead vocational learning within a bespoke educational environment. The school will seek to take the applicant onto their permanent contract following a successful probationary period.

  • Full-time teaching role in a purpose-built, large vocational workspace

We are looking for:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent)

  • Someone with a passion for delivering practical, vocational learning with real-world outcomes

  • Experience or understanding of working with SEMH and/or ASC learners is highly desirable

  • A creative, flexible approach and strong classroom management skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
