Unqualified Teacher – Glossop

Teaching Personnel is working with a welcoming secondary school in the Glossop area, seeking an enthusiastic and confident Unqualified Teacher to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain classroom experience and support students' learning in a dynamic environment.
About the Role:
- Start Date: January 2024
- Contract: Full-time or part-time (flexible to suit your availability)
- Pay Rate: £85–£110 per day (dependent on experience)
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes across a range of subjects in the absence of the usual teacher.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
- Support students’ progress by answering questions and providing guidance during lessons.
- Build rapport with students and staff, becoming a valued member of the school community.
- Gain valuable experience in the classroom, preparing for a future teaching career.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with young people (e.g., as a tutor, mentor, teaching assistant, or youth worker).
- A passion for education and the confidence to lead a classroom.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to adapt quickly and remain calm under pressure.
- A commitment to promoting the well-being and success of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
