Position: Unqualified Supply Teacher
Location: Tameside (Various Secondary Schools)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Flexible Day-to-Day & Short-Term Bookings
Salary: £85 - £100 per day (depending on experience and responsibilities)

Teaching Personnel is seeking proactive and reliable Unqualified Supply Teachers to support secondary schools across the Tameside area. In this flexible role, you will cover for absent teachers, ensuring that students continue their learning in a structured and productive environment. This role is perfect for graduates or individuals with a passion for education who are looking to explore a career in teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Supervision: Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to students in various subjects. Ensure students engage with the learning material and complete tasks.

  • Behaviour Management: Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere, addressing behaviour issues in a fair and consistent manner to ensure that students remain focused and respectful.

  • Student Support: Provide support for students, particularly those who may require additional assistance in completing tasks or understanding the lesson content.

  • Feedback: Provide written feedback on student progress and report back to the school regarding classroom activities, behaviour, and engagement.

  • Adaptability: Work across different schools, adapting to varying classroom settings and teaching environments, helping you gain diverse experience.

Key Requirements:

  • Education Enthusiast: A strong desire to work with young people and contribute to their education.

  • Communication Skills: The ability to communicate clearly with students, staff, and school leadership.

  • Organisational Skills: Capable of maintaining an organised classroom and managing time effectively during lessons.

  • Classroom Experience (Desirable): While prior classroom experience is beneficial, it's not essential for this role. A willingness to learn and adapt is key.

  • DBS Check: Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).

  • Flexibility & Reliability: As the role requires flexibility, candidates must be adaptable to different teaching environments and school policies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
