Unqualified Maths Teacher (Cover Supervisor) – Liverpool

Are you a maths enthusiast with a knack for problem-solving and a passion for education? Teaching Personnel is on the hunt for a confident and motivated Unqualified Maths Teacher (Cover Supervisor) to work across secondary schools in Liverpool—delivering engaging lessons and supporting students in their mathematical journey!
Location: Secondary schools across Liverpool
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £90-£120 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Flexible – Full-time & Part-time available
What’s the Role?
As a Maths Cover Supervisor, you’ll be stepping into the classroom to deliver pre-planned maths lessons, ensuring students stay focused and engaged. No formal teaching qualification is required—just a strong mathematical background, confidence to lead a class, and a passion for education!
What You’ll Be Doing:
Delivering pre-prepared maths lessons to KS3 & KS4 students
Engaging students with problem-solving and logical thinking puzzles
Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment
Supporting students with their understanding of key mathematical concepts
Gaining valuable classroom experience—perfect for aspiring teachers!
What We’re Looking For:
A degree in Maths (or a related subject) is preferred but not essential
Previous experience working with young people (e.g. tutoring, coaching, mentoring)
A passion for education and the ability to engage students
Strong communication and classroom management skills
A positive, can-do attitude and a desire to inspire the next generation!
An enhanced DBS certificate and on the update service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
