Trainee Teaching Assistant Opportunity – Primary School in Newport

About the Role

Your Responsibilities:
- Provide learning support to pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Build trusting relationships with pupils and offer pastoral support when needed.
- Encourage positive behaviour in the classroom and across the school.
- Support literacy and numeracy interventions, such as guided reading groups.
- Prepare engaging learning resources to support classroom activities.
- Assist with the school’s extra-curricular activities.
Role Details:
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
- Pay: Minimum £12.90 per hour
- Location: Newport
- Start Date: February 2025

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
