Trainee Teaching Assistant – North Liverpool Primary Schools

Are you passionate about supporting young learners and eager to kickstart your career in education? Do you have experience working with children, whether in a school, youth club, nursery, or even as a volunteer? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

Position: Trainee Teaching Assistant
Location: Primary Schools across North Liverpool
Start Date: ASAP & January 2025 start dates
Salary: £83.85 - £95 per day 
Hours: Full-time and part-time roles available across Liverpool, including 1:1 SEN and general TA 

The Role:

As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you’ll be working alongside experienced educators in vibrant primary schools across North Liverpool. Your role will involve supporting children in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, helping them reach their full potential both academically and socially. This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience and make a real difference in children’s lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support to teachers, ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Help with the preparation of classroom resources and materials.
  • Assist pupils with learning activities, adapting to individual needs.
  • Encourage positive social interaction and build children’s confidence.
  • Support children with special educational needs where required.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children (not necessarily in a school – childcare, clubs, sports coaching, or volunteering all count).
  • A genuine passion for working with children and helping them develop.
  • A proactive, patient, and caring attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undergo necessary safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS.
