Team Teach Qualified Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Assistants – Team Teach Qualified
Batley, Dewsbury, Mirfield, Morley and Surrounding Areas | Competitive Pay Rates
Are you a Team Teach-qualified Teaching Assistant seeking a fulfilling role in the Batley and Dewsbury area? We’re looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals to support schools and SEN settings across Batley, Dewsbury, Heckmondwike, Cleckheaton, Morley and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils who need extra guidance while progressing into longer-term or permanent positions.
The pupils you’ll work with may face a range of challenges, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or behavioural difficulties. Many of these young people benefit greatly from having patient, understanding, and consistent role models who can build trust, provide stability, and help them develop their confidence.
In this role, you’ll use your Team Teach skills to manage and de-escalate challenging situations, creating a calm and structured environment. Working alongside teachers, you’ll assist with lessons and classroom activities, ensuring every pupil is included and can achieve their potential. Through your support and guidance, you’ll inspire positive behaviours and empower pupils to overcome barriers to their learning.
Flexibility is a key part of this role, allowing you to work around your schedule while gaining valuable experience across a variety of settings. For those seeking a long-term position, many placements lead to permanent roles, offering an excellent pathway to career progression.
To excel in this role, you’ll need a current Team Teach qualification and experience working with children or young people with additional needs. Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for making a difference are essential qualities. Access to your own transport is preferred but not required.
We have exciting opportunities in Batley, Dewsbury, Liversedge, Heckmondwike, Cleckheaton, and beyond. If you’re ready to make a positive impact and support pupils in achieving their potential, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply today and take the next step in your career!
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
