Are you a Team Teach-qualified Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in East Leeds? We are seeking dedicated and caring individuals to join schools and SEN settings in Garforth, South Milford, and the surrounding areas. This is a great opportunity to support pupils who require extra guidance while enjoying the flexibility of work that often leads to long-term or permanent positions.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children and young people facing challenges such as Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or behavioural difficulties. Your primary role will be to provide a safe, structured, and supportive environment where pupils feel valued and confident to learn. Using your Team Teach skills, you’ll help manage and de-escalate difficult situations, ensuring that pupils feel safe and engaged throughout the school day.
In collaboration with teachers and other support staff, you’ll assist with classroom activities, provide targeted support to pupils, and help them overcome any learning barriers. Your ability to form meaningful relationships with pupils will be key in motivating them to achieve their best and build the confidence they need to succeed.

What We’re Looking For
- A current Team Teach qualification is essential.
- Previous experience working with children or young people with additional needs.
- Patience, resilience, and a passion for supporting young people to reach their potential.
- Access to your own transport is preferred but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
