Teaching Assistant – SEND 
Pay Rate: Starting at £84+ per day, paid through PAYE
Location: Bolton, Salford & Wigan Placements
Job Type: Temporary with the potential to go permanent

Teaching Personnel is looking for compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join a Secondary SEN School in Bolton, supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). This is more than a job; it’s an opportunity to change lives by helping students access education tailored to their unique needs.

What Your Day Might Look Like:

  • Providing personalised support for students with PMLD, enabling them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • Using assistive technologies and creative tools to help students engage with learning in ways that work for them.
  • Supporting the development of life skills alongside academic goals.
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to deliver a truly inclusive learning experience.
  • Creating a nurturing and positive environment, celebrating every achievement, no matter how small.

We’re Looking For:

  • A passion for supporting students with SEND and the drive to help them achieve their fullest potential.
  • Experience working with children or young people with complex needs, or a strong desire to learn and grow in this area.
  • The ability to work collaboratively, patiently, and creatively in a dynamic environment.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or the willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
