Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Assistants required for an Alternative Provision School in Weymout, offering learning opportunities for students aged 11 to 16 who find themselves outside mainstream education. Their mission is to provide a supportive and inclusive environment that meets the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) of all our students.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join the team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support students with diverse learning needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Support students' personal, social, and academic development.

Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to deliver tailored support.

Assist with classroom management and organization.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support
Qualifications and Experience:

Experience working with children or young people with special needs, we would love to hear from you if you have experience with young people that suffer with mental health difficulties.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A compassionate and patient approach to supporting learners.

Relevant qualifications in education or child development are advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
