Teaching Personnel are looking for Teaching Assistants in the Tameside area to join our specialist alternative provisions!

The school supports children with additional needs such as Autism, Challenging behavior, and physical disabilities to achieve their learning goals and succeed in education.

In this role as a Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to:

• Support on a whole class and 1:1 basis with a variety of needs
• Engage in a variety of curriculum subjects
• Support on visits and outings
• Record and assess children’s learning and development

The ideal Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children with special educational needs in a school or through personal experience
• A calm and patient personality with the ability to adapt to new situations
• The ability to communicate with members of staff and work well as a team
• Full time availability within school hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
