Job description

TA/LSA – LIVE VACANCY – Full-time & long-term

Hi there!

We are excited to announce that we need LSA’s & TAs for current & upcoming roles in Primary schools in this area.

Teaching Personnel are proud to work closely with schools across Hampshire and the country for the provision of temporary & permanent staff. At present, we are receiving more requests than we can fill for Teaching Assistants & Learning Support Assistants to help guide Primary age pupils through their school day in addition to aiding their academic & personal growth.

Now is a great time to secure your next role!

One reason such a school might require multiple of these staff is due to newly released funding from the local authority to provide additional support to select pupils. Additional reasons are to cover long-term sickness, absence, staff skill gaps and more!

They need individuals with experience working alongside children or adults with needs such as Autism and challenging behaviour, to work 1:1 with pupils on a full-time basis to help manage their needs and help them to reach their potential.

These roles also require general support amongst the whole class and to support the Teacher. This role will see you working on a 1:1, small group and class wide basis. It is beneficial for the applicant for this role to have some experience working with children, whether this is from Sports coaching, community centres or working with a Beavers troop. It is also an excellent role for those who are considering Teaching as a career but would like to test the environment before they commit.

Ideal Candidate:

  • SEN experienced – Covering Behavioural, Physical & Emotional difficulties OR experience working/ volunteering alongside children.
  • Resilient & firm, but also empathetic & considerate
  • Patient, kind and creative mindset.
  • Takes pride in seeing children develop & grow.
  • Has a can-do attitude and a ‘let’s do it’ mindset.

Benefits:

  • You will be making a profound difference to those who need support most
  • Competitive, weekly pay
  • A Personnel consultant to support you from application to execution of your role.
  • Access to all of Teaching Personnel’s teams from Nursery to Further education (should you want it)
  • The potential for long-term & part-time employment opportunities
  • Often these are well-resourced schools with ‘family & community’ mentalities.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
