Teaching Assistant
Job description
A friendly and welcoming school in North Somerset is looking for an experienced teaching assistant to join them ASAP on an ongoing basis. The school is equipped with fantastic facilities, is well connected via public transport and has good car parking facilities.
The school is committed to preparing all of their pupils for adult life through setting high expectations of their pupils and establishing firm boundaries. The school is committed to the success of each of their students whatever their stage of education in order to instil them with a sense of achievement at all stages.
The role is to support a child in year 4 with SEMH needs.. Your main duties will include: carrying out interventions including phonics, supporting children on a 1:1 basis, covering lunch time duties and supporting the class teacher with delivering lessons.
The successful candidate will have:
- Have previous experience of working with children,
- Previous experience of working as a teaching assistant is desirable but not essential,
- Be passionate and enthusiastic to work with pupils within the school and enhance their learning.
- Must have experience of working with pupils and will have had experience of working within the education sector and with multi-agencies.
- Will be proactive and eager to carry out responsibilities.

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £38, plus an annual subscription fee of £13 for the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
