SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
A welcoming village school with an emphasis on teaching children through values is looking for a range of support staff across their school in both general and 1:1 capacity. This is a popular school within the North Somerset area that stands out for focusing on each of their schools values each term which shows their dedication into forming their pupils into confident individuals. The role itself will be working with a child with autism on a 1:1 basis and delivering content pre planned by the class teacher.
You don't need any prior experience of working with children for this role but you do need a genuine passion for making a difference in children's lives and be a resilient individual.
Job Duties
- Being proactive in supporting children with SEND,
- Having a good level of patience and resilience,
- Supporting with providing teaching resources and being able to interpret plans.
- Promoting activities to aid natural curiosity and knowledge
- Supporting children with interventions.
What you need to apply:
- Prior experience of working with children isn't necessary but you need to demonstrate genuine passion,
- Prior experience in schools is desirable but not essential,
- Enhanced Child workforce DBS on the update service (we can assist with application)
- Legal right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
