Primary Teaching Assistant

Contract Type: Long-term, Fixed-Term (1 Year Initially)

A highly reputable Multi Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant (TA) to join the team at one of its vibrant schools in Shropshire. The role is offered on an initial one-year fixed-term contract, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom support for the teacher and pupils, ensuring every child can achieve their potential.
- Support individual or small groups of students with their learning, helping to create a positive and inclusive environment.
- Contribute to the planning, delivery, and assessment of engaging learning activities.
- Assist with classroom preparation and the organization of teaching resources.
- Promote the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other staff members to support pupil progress and well-being.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent).
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, particularly in a primary school.
- A genuine passion for education and a commitment to making a positive difference in pupils' lives.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, adaptability, and the ability to work as part of a team.
- An understanding of safeguarding practices and a commitment to ensuring the welfare of children.
- Willingness to undertake necessary training and professional development.
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain it.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
