Job Vacancy: Teaching Assistant – Secondary School
Location: Preston
Start Date: September
⏰ Contract: Full-Time | Temporary
Are you looking to make a difference in young people’s lives and gain valuable classroom experience? We’re currently recruiting a enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant to support a secondary school in Preston on a full-time, temporary basis starting in September.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support students in and out of the classroom, including those with additional needs
-
Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management
-
Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
-
Provide one-to-one or small group support to help pupils achieve their potential
What We’re Looking For:
-
Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based or similar settings)
-
A patient, caring, and flexible approach
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
A genuine interest in education and supporting young learners
Desirable (but not essential):
-
A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification
-
Experience in a secondary school environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
