We have exciting opportunities at teaching personnel, our primary schools in Pontardawe are on the lookout for teaching assistants that are ready to support the pupils of Pontardawe. If you have experience working with children in a professional environment or would like to get your first teaching assistant role, then we want to hear from you.
Teaching Assistant Job Role:
As a Teaching Assistant you will be required to work within primary schools within the Swansea area. You will be responsible for pupils from Nursery-Year 2 supporting them throughout their school day. You will be expected to actively promote and build positive professional relationships enhancing pupil daily experience.
Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in contributing effectively towards pupils learning.
- Motivate & engage pupils throughout the day.
- Supervise lunch time activities
- Work with small groups or a 1:1 basis
- Support pupils with additional learning needs
- Be experienced in working with children.
- Be willing to actively support and contribute effectively towards learning of pupils within schools.
- Have a “get involved” attitude, using their initiative to assist pupils and have a positive influence on their day!
What you need:
- Have a valid enhanced DBS check. (We can support you in obtaining this)
- Previous experience working with children or have relevant qualifications
- Your own initiative to get involved and contribute throughout the day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
