Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Newport
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £11.85 per hour
Contract: Full-Time (Fixed Term Contract – term time only)
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated, passionate, and inspiring Teaching Assistant to work within a mainstream primary school based in Newport. The role will entail working across Key Stage 2 where you will be required to support across Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6. Within the role you will encounter a flexible timetable throughout the week so you will need to have a pro-active approach and be confident in supporting all year groups. The school are looking for someone who can lead intervention groups, so supporting small groups of children with mainly their Literacy and Numeracy needs. You will liaise with the class teachers whereby you will be require reporting back to the teacher regarding the pupils developments. The school will arrange pre-set activities for you to carry out, but they are happy for you to showcase your own skills and put your own swing on things, but these might align with the curriculum.
Essential Requirements
- Enhanced Child Only DBS that is registered on the Update Service
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council
- Successful completion of our free Level 2 Safeguarding Course
- 2 Professional based reference that align with our vetting process
- Right to work within the UK
- Must be over the age of 18

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
