Teaching Personnel are actively recruiting for a specialist, dedicated teaching assistant to work in an OFSTED rated "Good" mainstream secondary school within the Coventry area.

This will be on a full time basis with the view to a permanent contract.

Pay Rate: £84-95 per day dependent upon experience

Person Specification:

• GCSEs in English and Maths
• Previous experience in a teaching assistant role or similar supporting position
• Experience working with/personal experience supporting children with special educational needs
• Passion for education and supporting pupils in their learning and development

Job Role:

• Support students on a focused small group and 1:1 basis to cater to various learning needs
• Support the main class teacher and be directed by them
• Be autonomous and use own initiative to instigate activities/learning opportunities
• Communicate effectively with the class teacher and other members of staff within the wider school environment
• Be a listening ear and build good working relationships with both pupils and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
