Teaching Personnel is partnering with a fantastic primary school in the Carmarthen area to recruit a Teaching Assistant for a January 2025 start. If you have previous experience working with children, this is an excellent opportunity to enter the education sector. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is flexible and able to work across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 if required.

Schedule: Monday to Friday (8:30am – 3:30pm)

Key Responsibilities

• Safeguarding children and ensuring their well-being
• Collaborating with the class teacher and other support staff to provide optimal support for all children
• Offering support to children in both group settings and on a 1:1 basis when necessary
• Assisting with classroom preparation and activities
• Managing disruptive behaviour effectively
• Contributing to the creation of a safe and engaging environment for children

Requirements

• Minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics
• Eligibility to work in the UK and the ability to pass enhanced DBS checks
• Driving Licence

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience working with children, ideally in an education or care setting
• A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to work across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 if needed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
