Teaching Personnel is partnering with a fantastic primary school in the Carmarthen area to recruit a Teaching Assistant for a January 2025 start. If you have previous experience working with children, this is an excellent opportunity to enter the education sector. The role offers the chance to develop new skills and start a rewarding career in education. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is flexible and able to work across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 if required.

Schedule: Monday to Friday (8:30am – 3:30pm)
Key Responsibilities
- Safeguarding children and ensuring their well-being
- Collaborating with the class teacher and other support staff to provide optimal support for all children
- Offering support to children in both group settings and on a 1:1 basis when necessary
- Assisting with classroom preparation and activities
- Managing disruptive behaviour effectively
- Contributing to the creation of a safe and engaging environment for children
Requirements
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Mathematics
- Eligibility to work in the UK and the ability to pass enhanced DBS checks
- Driving Licence
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience working with children, ideally in an education or care setting
- A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 if needed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
