Pay - £83.85 per day
Start Date – October 2024
Hours – 8:30-3:30 (Mon-Fri)

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to recruit a reliable and proactive Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School in the centre of Cardiff. The position will be full-time, working alongside a class in the Foundation Phase of the school and potentially on a 1:1 basis. The ideal candidate will be confident working with children with varied needs and abilities, to ensure each child has the same opportunity to develop. There may be instances where you will be supporting small groups of children to assist with their learning, or working with children on an individual basis to provide additional support if needed.
Main duties required:
- Confident providing 1:1 support to children with additional learning needs
- Ability to complete intervention work with small groups of children, or on an individual basis.
- On hand to always support the teacher and children support in the classroom
The school is looking for an energetic and hardworking Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team, bringing new ideas and a positive attitude to the class. The school will provide continuous support and feedback, with the possibility of roles extending into the new Academic Year starting October 2024.
What you will need:
- Enhanced DBS (Child Only) checks must be completed before the role will commence – (Teaching Personnel can help you with this!)
- EWC registration required which is mandatory requirement in Wales.
- Achieved Maths and English GCSE - grade C or equivalent.
- Experience personally or in a working environment with children (desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
