Job description

 

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking to recruit a Primary School based LSA, who is available to work in the Cardiff area on a full-time basis. The school are looking for a dedicated and hardworking individual who ideally has experience working with children in a professional or personal capacity. The position is temporary, with the possibility to be extended until the end of the academic year in July 2025.

The ideal LSA will have confidence when providing support to the children in the class, whether that be on an individual or small group basis, as well as supporting the teacher and providing a positive learning environment.  The successful candidate will also need to bring patience to the role, flexibility and be able to provide engaging activities and lessons for the children.

Learning Support Assistant

Cardiff – CF23

Hours - 8:30am – 3:30pm

Start Date – ASAP (pending vetting requirements)

Pay - £83.85 per day

The school is based in the centre of Cardiff, with a friendly team of staff who pride themselves on providing a positive attitude to the class. You will receive continuous support and feedback, and the school will always be open to hearing new ideas and feedback. Reliability will be required for the role, as well as being enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about working with children.

Essential Criteria:

  • Enhanced Child Only DBS
  • Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • Be able to provide 2 professional based references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
