Teaching Assistant (Full-Time) – September Start – Secondary Mainstream School in Bournemouth

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic secondary school in Bournemouth, starting in September. This full-time role will involve supporting students across Years 7 to 11, ensuring they have the necessary resources and guidance to thrive in their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom support to students in Years 7-11, assisting with their academic and personal development.

• Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored support to individual students or small groups.

• Foster an inclusive learning environment, helping students engage in their studies and reach their full potential.

• Support students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring they receive the appropriate help to access the curriculum.

• Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources, ensuring a productive and positive learning atmosphere.

• Monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback where necessary.

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working with children or young people in a school setting is desirable.

• A keen interest in supporting the educational development of students, especially those in secondary education.

• Excellent communication skills, both with students and staff.

• Patience, empathy, and a strong ability to work as part of a team.

• A proactive and adaptable approach to tasks, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
