Teaching Assistant (2:1 Support) – Blyth
Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role? We are seeking a committed individual to provide 2:1 support in a welcoming school in Blyth.
About the Role:
- Position: Teaching Assistant (2:1 Support)
- Location: Blyth
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Start Date: ASAP
- Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 2:1 support to students, ensuring they are engaged and progressing in their learning.
- Assist in delivering lesson plans, adapting materials to meet individual learning needs.
- Support students with additional needs, promoting confidence and independence.
- Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting.
- A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Experience supporting students with SEN or additional learning needs (preferred).
- A proactive, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting student development.
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
