Teaching Assistant Opportunity – Year 2 ASC Support (Kirkham)

Position: Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
Location: Kirkham
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30
Start Date: After Easter

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a child with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in a Year 2 classroom. This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing tailored support to enhance the child’s learning experience.

The Role:

• Providing 1:1 support to a Year 2 child with ASC
• Assisting with classroom activities and social development
• Implementing strategies to support the child's engagement and progress
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to create an inclusive environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with children with ASC or additional needs (preferred but not essential)
• Patient, understanding, and committed to supporting children's learning
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
