Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £140 - £220 per day (or pay scale equivalent)

A secondary school in North Bristol is seeking a passionate and inspiring Teacher of PE (male) to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will:

  • Teach PE at Key Stages 3 and 4, with some lessons of PSHE.

Who They Are Looking For

The school seeks an enthusiastic PE specialist who:

  • Holds QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
  • Has experience teaching PE at KS3 & KS4, with strong curriculum knowledge.
  • Can plan and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge all learners.
  • Has strong classroom management skills and high expectations of behaviour and student outcomes.
  • Can monitor student progress and provide exceptional feedback to ensure achievement.
  • Is committed to supporting diverse student groups, including those with SEND, pupil premium students, and high-attaining learners.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver outstanding lessons that cater to all students.
  • Monitor and track student progress, using data-driven approaches to maximise achievement.
  • Support the personal development of students through PE and PSHE lessons.
  • Contribute to extra-curricular activities, ensuring students have access to a variety of sporting opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance and develop the PE curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
