Head of PE and Sport (Female) – Full-Time

The Role

A secondary school in Bristol is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic female Head of PE and Sport to join its dynamic faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality PE lessons to girls, inspiring a love for sports and fitness, and leading the PE department to ensure a broad and engaging curriculum.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons across all key stages.
  • Lead the PE department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Promote a love for sports and physical activity among students.
  • Organise extracurricular sports clubs, teams, and competitions.
  • Oversee the development of the PE curriculum, ensuring inclusivity and progression.
  • Manage resources and facilities effectively.
  • Support and mentor staff within the department.
  • Foster strong relationships with students, staff, parents, and external sports organisations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
