Teacher of Maths

Long-term Contract

Full-time (term time only)

Start: 13/02/2025

Location: Cardiff

Pay: Teacher Pay Scale

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Maths teacher on behalf of one of our partner secondary schools for a long-term, full-time placement until the end of the academic year 2025.

The school is a mixed 11-18 comprehensive school with a sixth form, offering excellent standards of academic, vocational and sporting attainment. The school holds both staff and pupil wellbeing as a daily priority leading to success in a variety of areas.

Essentials

  • Recognised Teaching Qualification [PGCE] (Newly Qualified Teachers encourages to apply)
  • Degree in relevant field
  • Registration with the EWC
  • Enhanced DBS & registration with the Update Service (support can be provided for this)
  • A range of classroom management strategies to engage classes of mixed abilities

Desirables

  • Experience teaching WJEC GCSE Mathematics curriculum
  • Experience of teaching to pupils with a range of ALN/ SEN
  • A second subject to offer the school

  • Patience, resilience and strong interpersonal skills
  • Passion for Maths and Numeracy
  • Desire to enhance the educational experience of pupils from a range of socio-economic backgrounds
  • Remains calm under pressure and positive in challenging situations
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of the school
