About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Teacher of History to join their thriving Humanities department. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed educator to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to think critically, develop analytical skills, and gain a deeper understanding of global and national history.

The Humanities faculty is built on a culture of collaboration and support, where subject specialists share strategies and resources to deliver high-quality lessons. The school is committed to ensuring that all students develop a love for learning and achieve academic success in History.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking History lessons.

  • Inspire and challenge students of all abilities, helping them develop a strong understanding of historical events, themes, and concepts.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing meaningful feedback to support development.

  • Contribute to the wider school community and extra-curricular activities.

  • Maintain high expectations of student behaviour and academic achievement.

Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching History at Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History.

  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

  • Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
