Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a History Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Basingstoke. The school is looking for a dedicated teacher who can bring history to life and help students develop critical thinking skills.

The Role:

  • Teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons.
  • Encourage debate, discussion, and independent learning.
  • Track student progress, set targets, and support individual learning needs.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and extracurricular activities such as trips and historical projects.
  • Work as part of a collaborative and supportive humanities department.

Who We Are Looking For:

✔️ Qualified Teachers (QTS/QTLS).
✔️ ECTs welcome – full support and training provided.
✔️ Passion for History and the ability to engage students in historical debates.
✔️ Strong classroom management and communication skills.
