Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit an experienced English teacher to join the department at our excellent client school based in Bury. This school are looking to recruit an English Teacher to start in September 2024.

  • Full-time teaching role from September 2024.
  • £30,000 - £46,525 per annum in line with the Teacher Pay Scale (M1-UPS3)
  • Full planning and marking responsibilities.
  • Opportunity for Temp-Perm.

The head of English is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate teacher with a track record of excellent classroom practice. You will take on a full timetable teaching KS3 and KS4 classes and so it is essential that you are able to teach across varying ability groups.

You will plan and deliver enriching lessons covering the GCSE English language and literature curriculum that engage learners. You will also assess student progress against set targets and set new learning goals which motivate learners.

Teacher requirements:

  • Hold QTS and a PGCE specialising in English
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to apply for one
  • Experience teaching English to students aged 11-16
