Location: Thornton, Lancashire (FY5)
Start Date: After February Half Term

Are you an enthusiastic and passionate teacher ready to inspire young learners? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive primary school in Thornton, starting after February half term.

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to teach in a caring and inclusive school environment, where children are encouraged to achieve their full potential. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, fostering a love of learning, and supporting the progress and development of Year 1 pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to enhance the learning experience.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support pupil progress.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, with a strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum.
  • A nurturing and enthusiastic teaching style with excellent classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
