About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking Supply Teachers to work across a range of subjects in secondary schools within the Tameside area, including Hyde, Stalybridge, Ashton, and Denton. Starting in January 2025, this is an excellent opportunity for teachers who are looking for flexible, short-term work in a variety of school settings. Whether you’re seeking a few days a week or full-time supply work, we have opportunities to suit your availability.
As a supply teacher, you will provide high-quality teaching to students across different subjects, ensuring they continue to receive a strong education in the absence of their regular classroom teacher. This role is perfect for individuals who are adaptable, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting students' learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering planned lessons and maintaining the curriculum for students in various subject areas.
- Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment.
- Providing clear instructions and support to students, ensuring their engagement in the lesson.
- Assessing and tracking student progress where appropriate.
- Ensuring that any school policies or specific requirements are followed.
- Supporting students with their learning and development in a safe and encouraging environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching secondary school students, preferably in a range of subjects.
- A passion for teaching and a desire to inspire young people.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students of varying abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
