Location: Academy-based, Don Valley, Sheffield
Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR2
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2025 or sooner
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Subject Leader for Religious Education to join their Humanities department at Oasis Academy Don Valley. This is an exciting leadership role where you will have the opportunity to inspire and motivate students to excel in Religious Education, shaping them into informed, compassionate, and aspirational global citizens.

Our clients Academy based in Don Valley, Sheffield is an inclusive all-through 2 to 16 academy committed to providing the best possible education to its students. Located in a modern, purpose-built facility with state-of-the-art resources, the academy is situated in the Darnall and Attercliffe area of Sheffield, with excellent transport links to the city centre and Meadowhall.

About the Role
The successful candidate will lead the Religious Education department, inspiring students to appreciate and engage with the subject while ensuring they develop a broader understanding of the world around them. You will oversee the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning, with a focus on student achievement and personal development.
Key responsibilities include:

Leading the Religious Education department and ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.

Developing and implementing a curriculum that is engaging and inclusive, fostering critical thinking and understanding.

Motivating students to reach their full potential and instilling a passion for Religious Education.

Leading and supporting a team of teachers, sharing strategies and resources to improve departmental outcomes.

Monitoring and evaluating student progress, ensuring continuous improvement in results.
