Are you an experienced Religious Education (RE) teacher with a passion for inspiring students and leading a department to success?
Our client is seeking a Subject Leader for Religious Education to join their school and play a pivotal role in shaping the RE curriculum. The Role
As the Subject Leader for Religious Education, you will:

Lead, manage, and develop the RE department to ensure high standards of teaching and learning.

Provide strategic direction and vision for the RE curriculum, ensuring it is engaging, inclusive, and relevant.

Develop and implement schemes of work and assessment strategies that support the learning needs of all students.

Foster a supportive and collaborative environment where teachers are motivated to continuously improve.

Monitor the progress and achievement of students, setting and reviewing targets to ensure high academic standards.

Lead departmental meetings and ensure that best practices are shared across the team.

Work closely with senior leaders to ensure that RE is integrated into the broader curriculum and school ethos.

Support and mentor colleagues in the RE department, including providing professional development opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate

A qualified teacher with QTS and significant experience in teaching Religious Education.

A proven track record of leadership and management within a department, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.

Deep knowledge of the Religious Education curriculum and the ability to implement innovative teaching practices.

A commitment to high academic standards and improving outcomes for students.

Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and senior leadership.

Passionate about fostering an inclusive and reflective approach to teaching RE.
