Role Overview:
As a Primary Teaching Assistant with a focus on sports, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the educational and physical development of primary school students. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting classroom teachers in delivering engaging lessons, with a particular focus on incorporating sports and physical activities into the curriculum.
- Providing one-to-one or small group support for students, including those with special educational needs, to ensure their academic and social progression.
- Organizing and leading sports sessions and extracurricular activities to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy competition among students.
- Collaborating with colleagues to plan and implement sports-related events, such as sports days, tournaments, and fitness challenges.
Requirements:
- A degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related field.
- Passion for working with children and supporting their holistic development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young learners.
- Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced school environment.
- Previous experience working with children or coaching sports teams is advantageous.
