Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant

Our partnership schools have been given a generous sports premium funding to enhance resources to offer amazing opportunities for staff to introduce to the children to optimise their learning / wellbeing.
The trust we work with offers a welcoming diverse positive environment ensuring the relationships of the students and staff are genuinely established. The school focuses on the safety of their young people as well as receiving an Ofsted report revealing the ‘children show respect for one another and their different cultures’
You will be responsible for:
- Support sports teachers in delivering lessons, demonstrations, and practical sessions in various sports and physical activities.
- Offer one-on-one assistance to students who need extra help with engagement.
- Oversee sports activities and practices to ensure safety protocols are followed and to provide guidance and support to students.
- Assist in evaluating students' performance and progress through observation, grading, and feedback.
- Help with administrative duties such as maintaining attendance records, organizing schedules, and communicating with students, parents, or other staff members.
- Be knowledgeable about basic first aid procedures and safety protocols to respond effectively
- Serve as a positive role model for students by demonstrating good sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect for others.
- Assist in creating an inclusive environment that accommodates students of all diverse backgrounds.
- Adhere to professional standards and codes of conduct, maintaining confidentiality and acting ethically in all interactions with students and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Degree in Sports, Exercise, Physical Education or any relevant degree
- GCSE grades A – C in Maths and English
- An enhanced Child Workforce DBS check (can apply through us)
- A positive and open mind to build great relationships.
- Be able to understand and support the emotional needs of young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
