Job description
Sports Cover in Secondary School
Location: Secondary Schools in Cardiff
Contract: Flexible, Part-Time
Pay: £100-115 per day
Hours: 6.5hrs per day (Term time only)
Are you a sports graduate, have a passion for sports or looking to complete your placement hours and gain hands-on experience working with children of all abilities?
About the Role:
- Gain experience in managing and coaching children with varying needs and abilities
- Support PE lessons, general curriculum lessons, extracurricular clubs, and small group sessions
- Develop your skills in sports leadership, classroom management, and inclusive coaching
- Flexible hours to fit around your studies
What We’re Looking For:
- A sports-related degree (or working towards one)
- Passion for working with children and helping them develop their confidence through sport
- Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to maintain order and focus among students.
- Any previous coaching or leadership experience is beneficial but not essential

Successful applicants will have:
- Commitment to completing all required training courses promptly
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service (guidance will be given)
- Registered with the EWC (guidance will be given)
- Provide 2 references
- Able to travel to the Cardiff area

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
