Job Advertisement: SEMH Sports Coach – Leyland
Are you passionate about using sports to inspire and support young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? We are looking for a dynamic and empathetic SEMH Sports Coach to join a forward-thinking team in Leyland.
Role Overview:
- Location: Leyland, Lancashire
- Contract: 12-week temporary-to-permanent opportunity
- Start Date: January 2025
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and structured sports sessions tailored to students with SEMH needs.
- Build positive relationships with students to support their emotional well-being and behavioural development.
- Work collaboratively with the school team to implement effective strategies for managing challenging behaviour.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that promotes confidence and participation.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in a school or youth support setting, ideally working with children with SEMH or SEN.
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviour and building rapport with young people.
- A genuine passion for using sports as a tool for personal and emotional development.
- Professionalism, resilience, and a positive attitude.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
