Hours: 6 hours per day (paid at 7.5 working hours)
Contract Type: 12-week agency contract, leading to a permanent position with the school
Are you passionate about supporting children and looking for a role in education that doesn’t involve classroom teaching? We’re seeking a reliable and enthusiastic School Transport Driver to join a dedicated SEMH school in Leyland.
About the Role:
As a School Transport Driver, you will:
- Safely transport children to and from school, ensuring their well-being at all times.
- Build positive relationships with pupils to create a calm and welcoming environment during their journey.
- Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and carers to provide consistent support for the children.
- Work a split shift (e.g., morning and afternoon), allowing flexibility in your day.
What We’re Looking For:
- A valid driving license (D1 preferred but not essential).
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- The ability to remain calm and professional in a range of situations.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
