Position: SEN Teacher
Location: West Bromwich
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Contract: Full-Time / on-going
Start Date: ASAP

Teaching Personnel are looking to hire a Secondary School Teacher to work in the West Midlands.

Your Responsibilities

As an SEN Teacher you will:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEN.
  • Work collaboratively with the SENCO, teaching assistants, and other staff to support students’ learning and well-being.
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure they are followed.
  • Provide a safe and stimulating learning environment that encourages students' social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
  • Promote a culture of inclusivity and understanding within the classroom and across the school.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential.
  • Experience teaching students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly within primary or secondary settings.
  • A good understanding of various SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a patient, caring approach.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up-to-date with SEN practices.
