Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate English Teacher looking to make a difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for a dedicated and inspiring teacher to join our friendly and supportive team at an Ofsted-rated 'Good' SEN school in Solihull The school caters to students with a range of complex learning needs, including autism and cognitive challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students
- Adapt teaching methods to support students with SEN, ensuring each child can access the curriculum
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and strategies for improvement
- Work collaboratively with SEN support staff and specialists to create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging confidence and communication
- Contribute to the overall development of students, helping them build essential life skills alongside academic progress
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with children with SEN (desirable)
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching English
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting all students to achieve their best
