Job Title: SEN Maths Teacher
Location: Birmingham, UK
Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Maths Teacher to join our passionate team in Birmingham. You will play a key role in providing tailored support and delivering engaging lessons to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on young learners, helping them achieve their full potential in mathematics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons, tailored to meet the individual needs of SEN students.
- Work closely with SENCOs, support staff, and parents to create effective learning plans and strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and adjusting lesson plans as needed.
- Support students with a range of SEN including Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and moderate to severe learning difficulties.
- Contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum in line with SEN best practices.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
- Proven experience working with SEN students, particularly in a Maths teaching role.
- Strong understanding of different SEN needs and strategies to support learning.
- Patience, creativity, and a commitment to inclusive education.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable:
- SENCO qualification or additional SEN-related training.
- Experience with alternative teaching methods, such as multisensory techniques.
