Job description

Position: Social Science Teacher

Location: Northampton

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Social Science teachers in and around Northampton to join our team of excellent Teachers, providing extensive support to the local school.

We are seeking to appoint versatile and highly effective teachers who can bring their love for their subject into the classroom through innovation and energy.  You will be organised, dynamic and hardworking combined with having excellent subject knowledge, a desire to positively impact students’ learning and achieve highly. Above all you will be dedicated to giving all our students the best that you can be. Ideally you will have knowledge in Sociology, Health and Social Care and Applied Psychology.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that align with the curriculum standards.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.

Requirements

  • QTS or equivalent qualifications
  • Qualifications in Social Science subjects including Psychology, Sociology, Crimonology, or Health and Social care
  • Experience Teaching Secondary Students
  • Great classroom management skills
  • Enhanced Child only DBS certificate
  • Be able to use ICT in all aspects of your work.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
