Teacher of SEND

Are you a skilled and passionate teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We’re on the hunt for an exceptional Teacher of SEND to join our team, supporting pupils with diverse abilities and Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).

The Opportunity
This role offers a full-time position, though we’re happy to consider candidates who can commit to a minimum of 4 days per week. Initially, you’ll work through Teaching Personnel, but the school is looking for someone to become a permanent member of their team following a successful probation period.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Teaching and inspiring pupils with SEND, adapting your lessons to meet individual needs.
  • Tailoring mainstream teaching strategies to support children with EHCPs and ensuring their inclusion in the learning environment.
  • Working closely with a team of dedicated professionals to deliver the best possible outcomes for every child.
  • Monitoring progress and implementing interventions to help pupils thrive.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is a must.
  • Experience in teaching pupils with SEND, whether in a specialist setting or by adapting mainstream lessons.
  • A creative, patient, and empathetic approach to teaching.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with colleagues, parents, and support staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
