SEND Teachers – Southampton

Location: Southampton and surrounding areas
Contract: Flexible, Short-Term and Full-Time Opportunities Available
Availability: Minimum 3 days per week
Requirement: Must have QTS

Pay: Dependent upon role and your prior pay scalse. Full teaching posiions always paid to scale.

Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and adaptable SEND teachers to support schools across Southampton. We work with a range of specialist settings catering to diverse needs, including:

  • Autism (ASC)

  • Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH)

  • Complex medical needs

  • Trauma-informed education

  • Profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)

The Role:

  • Provide short-term or long-term cover in specialist schools.

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to individual needs.

  • Work closely with support staff to create a positive and structured learning environment.

  • Adapt teaching approaches to support pupils with a range of additional needs.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Qualified Teachers (QTS essential) from any background, with a passion for SEND education.

  • Those with experience in mainstream or specialist settings who are confident in adapting their teaching.

  • Flexible and resilient individuals who can work in different school environments.

  • Availability for at least three days per week.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
